Where the words come from
Nothing in the panel
was written by a model.
Every description is copied, word for word, from a public record — and the link to that record sits under it. The models find what was named and where. They do not describe it, rate it, or check it.

An episode uses what it needs. #2530 is archaeology and scripture, so almost everything resolves to one encyclopaedia. An episode about training and longevity leans on PubChem and MedlinePlus instead, and barely touches Open Library.

They are still listed — the name and the second it was said. What they do not get is a description or a link, because nothing matched confidently enough. A wrong link is worse than no link, so we leave it blank.
No link means we could not match it. That is worth knowing too.
Before you install
The questions we get.
- What does it cost?
- Installing is free. Indexing an episode nobody has done yet costs you one of five free runs a month. Reading an episode someone else already indexed is always free.
- Which shows does it work on?
- Any YouTube video with a caption track, which is nearly all of them. It is not restricted to a list of approved podcasts.
- What if nobody has indexed the episode I'm watching?
- The panel offers to index it. It takes a few minutes, and once it is done it is there for everyone who watches that episode afterwards.
- Will it slow YouTube down?
- No. One card in the sidebar, one request per video. It never touches the player or the video stream.
- Which browsers?
- Chrome and Brave. Other Chromium browsers — Edge, Arc, Vivaldi — should work. Firefox and Safari are not supported yet.
- Will it tell me when someone is wrong?
- No — and it is built so it can't. It shows what was named and links the source. What you make of the claim is yours to decide.
- Can it see my browsing?
- It runs on youtube.com and nowhere else, and reads the video identifier. It keeps no record of what you watch unless you switch history on yourself.
